Kids and Technology

Well I knew the day was coming that my kids would out smart me in technology. I was just hoping that I could hold out until they were in Junior High School. Last Friday the kids went to Brian's parents while we went to the Temple on a date. They have a computer that the kids can play games on and only games. We picked them up when we were done and everything was great. The next day we went to R.C. Willy's for a minute and the kids went back to Brian's parents. While we were there we got a text from a good friend telling us that he thought Abby was posing as me on Facebook. I was flipping out. I knew she had my password, but I never figured she would use it to get on and pretend to be me. So I called Brian's parents immediatley and asked to talk to her. She was on the computer of course and she told me she was just trying to get on my "Farmville." I very calmly asked her to get off the computer and wait upstairs until we got back. It was very harmless the things she wrote, but holy cow, that scared me to death to think that she could get on and start chatting with any one, and she is only 9 years old. Kids are way too smart and she is way to inquisitive. I am in big trouble with this one I think.

Lagoon Trail

Brian and "The Tree"
This is Seth riding his bike on the trail

Yes, I know I have been MIA for a very long time and I don't really know why, but I will try to do better. I took some really great pictures of the kids on the Lagoon Trail a few weeks ago when they were getting over the swine flu. We just had to get out of the house so we hoped that by going some where out in the fresh air that we would not contaminate anyone. Anyway here are the photos I got. I hope you all enjoy them. (I did put one of Brian in there, he is standing by a giant tree that has a hole in it that is as big as he is.)

THE BALL FALLS

On Saturday afternoon my kids were tired of being in the house and ready to get out and play since we have all been sick for a week. I was still in bed sick and Brian was fixing the tile in my shower. He took the week off to do all of my honey-do projects that have been on hold since we moved in 2 1/2 years ago as an anniversary present (too bad he got sick too). So we told the kids to play outside and stay close by. The next thing I know, Brian is running out of the house saying " O' Crap He broke their glass table." Apparently the kids were playing at our neighbors and Seth had his baseball and mitt playing catch by himself and missed the ball. It landed smack in the middle of their glass table and it shattered. Seth came running home saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry", Brian told him it was ok and that accidents happen. When they went back to apologize Seth got scared and ran to hide under our deck. Brian told him that when he was a kid he broke a window and ran and got in more trouble for that than for breaking the window.
When he did apologize our sweet neighbors the Montgomery's said that accidents happen and what's more American than Boys and Balls!!
Seth got to clean up the glass with the shop vac and he though that was the greatest thing ever, maybe the next time he gets board I'll just tell him to go vacuum.

HAPPY 9TH BIRTHDAY ABBY

Abby at One year old

Abby at 9 years old

Yesterday was Abby's 9th Birthday. Too bad that we are all sick. Luckily on Friday she was able to have a rockin' Birthday party with 10 of her crazy girlfriends. I don't think that Brian and I were prepared for the noise and chaos but I do think that they had a great time. They did a little karaoke, ate pizza, smashed the heck out of a pinata, opened presents and ate some yummy chocolate cake and watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua.
I still can't believe that my little girl is 9 years old. Time has just gone by so fast and she has grown up so much. We love her so much and want her to know that we are very proud of everything that she has accomplished in her life and all that she continues to do. Way to go Chicken.

Christmas At Ultradent

So I typed this up back on Dec. 10th and forgot to post it. Oops. I am loosing my mind.

Once again I took the kids out to Bri's work for all of the super cool Christmas festivities. This year they did a Candy Land theme. It turned out so cute. We started out frosting giant sugar cookies with five or six different colors of frosting. Of course the kids needed every color on their cookie. Then we made a paper chain to count down to Christmas, played pin to cherry on the ice cream cone, and then we went to go see Santa and Mrs. Claus. The kids were great, even Isaac. He just sat there trying to figure out what in the world was going on.
